For purposes of better execution and coordination of our operations, the leadership of A.S.W.E.K. operates through sub-committees. Below are the subcommittees and their mandate as derived from the A.S.W.E.K. constitution:
Professional Development of Members Committee
Mandates are:
- Accredit social work educators.
- Develop and maintain professional standards and conduct for social work educators.
- Facilitate continuous education for social work educators.
- Come up with innovative products and services to empower the members including professional talks, professional development courses for members.
- Lobby for preferential rates for members for diverse opportunities.
- Secure career development opportunities for members e.g. scholarships.
- Preferential treatment /discounts for participation in Association events.

Social Workers Book Committee
Mandates are:
- Coordinate all the activities of the Social Work book project and deliver the book up to launch.

Social Workers Journal Committee
Mandates are:
- Establish a Kenyan Social Work journal. The Social Work Journal will contain research findings and case studies from the field of practice by Keyan social workers mentored by the Social Work Coordinators.

Inter-Universities’ Research and Collaborations
Mandates are:
- Coordinate inter-universities and colleges linkages and partnerships for social work related research and other related activities.
